Sounds like you’ve come across some doozies! I think we (humans, non gender specific) have either experienced most of these types or, (gulp!), spent some quality time occupying these brands. (Personally, I have worn the skins of #4, 7, 8, and 9.) I wouldn’t have dated me!

oh those musician boys, they sure are good for some things. ;)
and i love boys that are combinations- it’s the full on one category boys that don’t work for me!

Love your list of 10. My question, however: What guy, in SF – and what girl for that matter – is not some combination of everything you mentioned in your list?

Brilliant, Steph! I think I’ve dated every one of these guys. I just ended a relationship (or whatever he wants to not call it) with #8 – I tried to be patient and cool about it, but just ended up getting hurt. Won’t make that mistake again.

I WILL somewhat disagree with #5 (having just come off my own bout with unemployment), BUT will say, don’t date unemployed guys who aren’t doing anything with themselves. If they’re busting tail to find a job, volunteering, and generally making themselves useful, cool. If they’re sitting on the couch like a lump, not a chance.

Um, this is great and accurate and all, but could you please write a list of 10 boys I WOULD want to date? Because I can’t even think of ONE right now, so that’d be super helpful. Thank you for all that you do. xx.
